A Heart of Gratitude
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of heavenly lights who does not change like the shifting shadows.” James 1:17
Life is hard! There are so many opportunities to get discouraged in a day. It can be easy to get stuck focusing on the negative. In a world where the news presents stressful information constantly it can be difficult to focus on the positive. In order to keep a mindset of hope, it is so important to cultivate an attitude of gratitude! Instead of looking for what you do not like in a situation, or is not going the way it should, look for opportunities to see the good. Incorporating gratitude into your daily life will help bring about a habit and a mindset of being thankful for what the Lord has given. In both the good times and the bad, it is important to find things that you can be thankful for. As we do this, not only will our minds find more peace but our hearts will become full of thanksgiving.
Dear Father, thank you so much for the incredible ways you have provided for me. I am so humbled by the way you love me and have always taken care of me even when I had no idea. Instead of seeing the negative, please help my mind and heart form an attitude of gratitude. Amen
