Devotional: A New Direction

“The faithful love of the lord never ends. His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT

Every each day a new opportunity!  Any moment we can choose to change the direction of our lives! What freedom comes when we adopt the mentality that we can start fresh every single day!

Each thought we capture, prayer we pray, word we speak is a chance to change. 2 Corinthians 6:2 speaks “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” There is a sense of urgency that surrounds God’s call to change. He does not want us to miss a single moment in his presence and understanding our life’s impact on this world.

As we develop a new pattern thinking, feeling, and behaving we can claim this truth!  As we obtain a habit of receiving God’s mercy for our failures each day and doing what we know is healthy and wise for our bodies our lives will be transformed! We are made new! This changes the course of our lives forever!

Heavenly Father,

Praise you for being a God who causes the sun to rise each day, thank that your mercy is new every day! Thank you for giving me hope and purpose for my life and for the world. Thank you for this beautiful gift. In Jesus name Amen.
