Grilled Grass Fed Steak, Asparagus, Mushrooms & Onions
This meal is amazing after a long hike or great workout! We get our steaks from a local farm and they are amazing with just salt and pepper! Everything is grilled using avocado oil, salt and pepper:). Keeping the ingredients simple has always served me well. This meal is savory, and sooooo good!
I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 Grass Fed Strip Steaks
-1 Onion
-1package of mushrooms
-salt
-pepper
-1tbsp grass fed butter
-asparagus
Instructions:
Unpack the steaks and dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper on both sides & set aside.
Use a mandolin and thinly slice an onion. Wash the mushrooms and dry with a paper towel. Using a long sheet of tin foil place the onions and mushrooms together and drizzle some avocado oil on top. Mix. Then add salt and pepper. Mix again. Set aside.
Cut the bottoms of the asparagus 2 inches up. Place them in a long piece of tin foil. Drizzle with avocado oil and add salt and pepper.
Set the grill to a high heat and place the mushroom and onion mix on the grill. Stir every 5-10 minutes. Do the same with the asparagus.
When the grill is hot, place the steaks on the grill. Sear the steak about 3-4 minutes each side for a medium cook.
Remove the steaks and place to the side with a teaspoon of butter on top to melt on each steak. When the onions are cooked down and the mushrooms are soft remove the mixture and place into a bowl. When the asparagus is softened and slightly charred remove from the heat.
Serve hot! The onion and mushroom mixture is amazing on the steak!
