Choose what you want to enjoy ahead of time (my favorite enjoyable treats are: mom’s Armenian bread, I also love a good gingerbread cookie). I look ahead and make decisions about what is worth it to me or not:).
Don’t stop moving! Just because it is Christmas doesn’t mean you stop doing what you normally do to stay healthy. Keep your workouts and daily walks going:). Listen to Christmas music!
Incorporate protein in each meal. This will ensure you are not overeating carbohydrates and sugar. It will also keep you feeling satisfied throughout the day.
Pick and choose your sugary drinks… if you love hot chocolate then don’t drink a soda and a hot chocolate, lemonade or orange juice in the same day! I would say limit to 2-3 of these a week and drink half of what you normally would!
Chew and enjoy your food! Don’t eat alone:) Connect with a loved one while you are eating.
