A Devotional: See The Unseen

“So we fix our eyes not what is seen but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

How exciting it is to be able to believe in a God who is invested in our eternal lives! We can have hope in our current circumstances because of Christ’s death and resurrection!  We believe in a God who is constantly working on our behalf.

He hears our prayers and his promises for us never fail. Faith is believing He is good and true regardless of what our eyes can see. As we are obedient to him and take steps of faith, we will see his incredible work in our lives. Just as we believe in God when we cannot see him, we trust the process of a healthy diet and exercise program and believing it will work.

As we partner with him through prayer and using our gifts and talents we have the opportunity to join together bringing Heaven’s power and love to earth intervening in the lives of a lost and broken world. There is a spiritual realm we are part of and can have effect on. Our sense of purpose and joy can abound greatly as we join in the work he is doing in our lives and of the world.

Dear Father, thank you for the incredible gift of being able to live a life full of purpose and meaning! Thank you for always working in the unseen. Holy spirit, you are welcome here, fill my heart. Amen

“We may speak about a place where there are no tears, no death, no fear, no night; but those are just the benefits of heaven. The beauty of heaven is seeing God.”
