“Weightless” A Devotional

“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid!” Matthew 14:27b

Jesus invites each of us into an exciting and life full of opportunities to encounter is power and faithfulness.

It is a life of adventure!

When we place our full trust in him we experience a life we never would have dreamed of! Like Peter walked on the water during the storm, we must keep our eyes focused on Him. It is his voice that leads us and guides us in full faith so that we will weather the storms of our lives with joy and confidence knowing who we are in Christ.

As he holds our gaze, we go places we never could have dreamed. He stretches us and grows us to places deeper than we would have gone on our own.  As we “get out of the boat” of our security, and take steps in our recovery, we will become stronger and more free as we experience fully what he has for us. His power is what sustains us and makes us bold and full of faith regardless of the circumstances around us.

Dear Jesus, thank you for leading me to places where I couldn’t go on my own. Your grace abounds, thank you for guiding me by your hand. I trust you despite my fears. Amen
