My Morning Smoothie

I have about three or four favorite breakfasts I rotate through, and this smoothie is at the top of my list! For me, it always helps my tummy feel good, and it gives me what I need to feel focused for the day. Plus, it’s full of antioxidants and protein!

Ingredients:

1/4-1/2 cup full fat, grass-fed milk (or dairy alternative of choice)

3 frozen strawberries

1/4 cup mix of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 banana

1 scoop protein powder (I use 1st Phorm’s chocolate milkshake.)*

For a healthy fat option, you can put in 1/2 Tbsp of coconut oil, or you can take your fish oil supplement with the shake.

*You want 18-25 grams of protein. If you do not want to use protein powder for dietary reasons, feel free to substitute full-fat Greek yogurt.

Instructions:

  1. Pour the milk into a magic bullet, vita mix or whatever mixer you would like. (I love the single cup mixer because I drink straight from the mixing cup.)

  2. Add the protein powder and fruit, and then mix for about 30-60 seconds.

  3. Pour into a cup, and enjoy!
